A graduate of Georgetown University and Lewis & Clark Law School, Kelly had a prior career in public affairs and politics that serves her well as a tough advocate and compassionate counselor for her clients. Prior to establishing Hansen & Larson, LLC with Kristin Larson, Kelly worked at Stahancyk Kent & Hook in Bend, Weber Shandwick Worldwide in Washington D.C. and Portland, Oregon, and as a congressional aide for Representative Bart Gordon (TN) in Washington D.C.
Kelly has been voted a “Rising Star” in the publication Super Lawyers since 2009.
In addition to her passion for her profession, she enjoys all that Central Oregon has to offer for outdoor recreation, including skiing, biking, backpacking, and motorcycling.
Kristin has a keen focus on all community, including you. She has served as the President of the Board of Director’s for Grandma’s House, a nonprofit home for homeless or abused pregnant or parenting teenagers. She has also led the grants committee and been a member of the board of directors of the Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation, which assists women and minorities to enter the legal profession and promotes access to justice for women and ethnic minorities. Kristin has previously served on the board of CASA and was vital in the formation of Mary’s Place – a supervised visitation/exchange center for children of domestic violence.
Kristin was also named as one of Cascade Business News’ Accomplished under 40. She was voted by her peers as one of Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Kristin interned for Ron Wyden, served a VISTA Volunteer and was an assistant director for the Hilton Hotel of Portland.
Amber joined Hansen & Larson, LLC in 2011. She has a background in Business Administration and Paralegal Studies. She worked as an office manager for Butano Geotechnical Engineering, Inc. in Watsonville, CA and Walsh & Roach also in Watsonville, CA as a personal injury paralegal before moving to Central Oregon in the Fall of 2010.
She graduated from Aptos High School, located in Aptos, CA in 2000 and continued her education at West Valley College, located in Saratoga, CA where she received degrees in Business Administration and Paralegal Studies.
In California, Amber not only participated but also taught a women’s kickboxing class for Black Tiger Academy in Watsonville. Since moving to Central Oregon, Amber has embraced the beautiful scenery of Bend and surrounding areas. She loves the outdoors, especially when the sun is shining, and spending time with her family. During Summer, you can catch her outside jogging the Deschutes River Trail or floating the river. During Winter, you can find her bundled up enjoying a good book or movie.
